Emily Bauer as designer for !melk
The Las Vegas Strip is an iconic tourist destination that has traditionally celebrated escapism. As an Associate with !melk Landscape Architecture, Emily Bauer was a key part of the design and construction administration of the first public park on the Las Vegas Strip, that celebrates the surrounding Mohave desert region. The 14 acre park is the gateway to MGM Resorts International’s T-Mobile Arena. Park elements mitigate the extreme desert climate including; 60ft bent steel shade structures, recycled water features, and desert plantings with drought resistant trees. By creating sustainable microclimates, The Park invites millions of visitors to relax and interact with a unique public space on the Las Vegas Strip.
